THE WESTSIDE GUEST HOUSE
Traveling can be a little scary right now, but we're doing everything in our power to ensure that you can safely enjoy some time away in your own private apartment in our small but bustling Midwestern city. Whether it's just you or the whole family, we have a place that will suit your needs. Stay in our one-bedroom apartment with attached garage (sleeps up to 3) or one of our two three-bedroom apartments (each sleeps up to 7).
Once you're here, you can enjoy sitting on the porch or patio, walking in the wooded park across the street or taking a walk on the nearby rails-to-trail Cardinal Greenway. If you’re visiting friends or family, you are welcome to have them over, so long as you aren't hosting a raucous party. Many area restaurants are close by, with a variety of takeout and delivery options, or you can stay home and cook (each apartment has a full, fully equipped kitchen).
If you're in the mood to do some shopping, we have both unique local shops and antique stores as well as national retail stores. And if you'd like to spend time in a nearby city — Dayton, Indianapolis or Cincinnati — you're only about 1 to 1-1/2 hours away. Louisville is about 2-1/2 hours away.
Although not ADA handicapped accessible, our one-bedroom apartment and one of our three-bedroom places have no interior stairs (although each requires guests to go up one to four steps to enter), and we have shower chairs and toilet rails available for guests.
We follow COVID-related cleaning and masking protocols from Airbnb, the CDC and the American Hotel and Lodging Association. We also provide cleaning supplies, masks, gloves and hand sanitizer for your use while here.
Whether you stay with us for a night, a week or a month, when you’re here, we want you to feel as safe as if you were home!
Close to Groceries and Dining
We're within walking distance of a full-service grocery store as well a variety of dine-in and fast-food restaurants.
Our Wifi service is free, high-speed and reliable.
Walking, Bicycling Trails Nearby
Our guest apartments are located across the street from a wooded park and close to the rails-to-trails Cardinal Greenway.
Leave the Cleaning to Us
No need to strip the beds or put towels in the washer. We'll take care of things after you leave.
Our city pool is just a short walk away, and we can supply beach towels. (NOTE: It is closed now due to COVID-19 concerns.)
Luggage Drop-off Allowed
We are happy to let you drop off your luggage before check-in time.
The master bedroom in the Residence has a sun room with a small futon that will sleep a child or small adult.
When the weather is nice, there's no better place to enjoy it than the porch of The Residence.
Fortunately, we were able to keep the original boomerang-patterned Formica countertop when we renovated this kitchen.
